Dr. Anitha Kannan is the founding team member and the Vice President of AI at Curai Health, where she leads the company’s AI strategy to build AI‑first primary care clinic. Her team specialises in applied research on medical dialogue systems, clinical decision support, and patient safety in AI deployment. This has enabled the successful deployment of patient-facing and provider-facing generative AI based autonomous systems.

Prior to Curai, Dr. Kannan held research positions at Microsoft Research and Facebook AI Research, working on machine learning research and applied AI. She earned a PhD in Computer Science from the machine learning group at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kannan was also a Darwin Fellow at the University of Cambridge, UK.  She has extensively published in top-tier conferences and holds several issued patents.
